Aalberts is a global active specialist in high-quality mission critical technologies. With approximately 15.000 employees Aalberts operates from more than 200 locations in more than 30 countries. The company is structured into 4 businesses: hydronic flow control, integrated piping systems, advanced mechatronics and surface technologies. 

Aalberts hydronic flow control, headquarters in Almere, consist of multiple brands (Flamco, Comap, Sentinel, UWS, HeatPower24 and Nexus). Aalberts hydronic flow control operates in 43 locations in 23 countries and develops and produces complete hydronic systems – from source to emitter- for heating and cooling systems for architects, specifying institutes and building owners. The systems are designed for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, both new build and renovation. hydronic flow control focus on realising energy efficiency (saving of energy costs and increasing comfort) through improved performance of heating and cooling systems.  

 

Goal of the project

The continually growing requirements for data demand a greater control of the flow of data between systems, departments and individuals participating in the collection and transformation of product data. This project will focus on determining the data streams and functional (data) requirements for each step in the (Product) Master Data Management process.

During this project you will work with multiple departments to:

·         Identify key data sources and silos.

·         Understand and document the process of creating, updating and sharing.

·         Map the dataflows between systems and departments.

 

There are multiple initiatives running for the improvement of data processing within the organisation and changes in the systems, it is important that these are taken into account. The result of this project will support the development and implementation of a MDM system within Aalberts HFC.

 

Who are we looking for?

–         You are a third- or fourth-year student of HBO / WO;

–         You are a self-starting student, who can proactively bring this project forward;

–         You can communicate with internal and external stakeholders in the right way to gather relevant information. Understanding all stakeholder’s interests is crucial. To transform and combine these different interests is essential for the success of the project;

–         You have knowledge of Microsoft Office;

–         You can communicate well in English, with Dutch and German are useful additions.
