Aalberts hydronic flow control, headquarters in Almere, consist of multiple brands (Flamco, Comap, Sentinel, UWS, HeatPower24 and Nexus). Aalberts hydronic flow control operates in 43 locations in 23 countries and develops and produces complete hydronic systems – from source to emitter- for heating and cooling systems for architects, specifying institutes and building owners. The systems are designed for residential, commercial and industrial buildings, both new build and renovation. Hydronic flow control focuses on realizing energy efficiency (saving of energy costs and increasing comfort) through improved performance of heating and cooling systems.

For Aalberts hydronic flow control, we are looking for a student for a graduation project. Base location is Almere. Within the Product Management department, you will be part of the Product Management team, which is responsible for product planning: defining the product roadmap and keeping the assortment healthy, and product marketing: guiding new product introductions and support to make existing products more successful. This department is organized per technology line, where you will become part of the Flamconnect Team, which focusses on the digital propositions.

Goal of the project

In the Flamconnect product line, one of our key solutions is Flamconnect Remote—an advanced IoT platform for communicating with connected devices. This solution is designed to optimize service and maintenance by enabling remote monitoring and control. Through Flamconnect Remote, we collect extensive data from various devices.

Your internship will focus on translating this data into actionable insights or customer value. The first step involves researching and identifying interesting areas, such as using AI solutions for predictive and preventive maintenance or enhancing product development based on collected data.

In addition to identifying these areas, you will also be tasked with developing and implementing a solution in one of these directions.

Desired skills:

  • You are a fourth-year bachelor’s degree student (HBO).
  • You are a self-starting student, who can proactively bring this project forward.
  • You can communicate with internal and external stakeholders in the right way to gather relevant information.
  • You have knowledge of data processing.
  • This is a project in our international company, communication may take place in English.
