Procurement & Supply Chain Internship

The role: As a Procurement Intern at HCME, you will support the Indirect Procurement Category Manager in optimizing the purchase of Safety gears/Petty Materials by implementing vending machines in our factory. You will also be able to support various Procurement and Supply Chain projects for Indirect Category.

The responsibilities:

• Become the lead of the vending machines implementation project (RFX management) from benchmarking/sourcing to negotiation/contracting/implementation

• Support with the development and execution of the Indirect procurement strategies as well as identify and mitigate risks.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with Internal and External stakeholders.

• Having full overview of the chain (not only price negotiation but forecasting the total cost and taking all factors into consideration)

• Be in support for financial analysis, administrative daily work, and price & contract negotiations

The requested output:

The output of your internship should be that we can start the implementation of the vending machine in Amsterdam Factory. This includes:

–        Business case

–        Selected items to be in the vending machines

–        Defined location in the factory

–        Selected vendor (based on RFX executed process)

–        Defined logistic and ordering process for filling vending machines

–        Investment forms prepared

Who are we looking for:

•   Student in Business Administration, Management or Supply Chain Management

•   Fluent English

•   Interest in Supply Chain and Procurement

•   Analytical and strategic thinking abilities

•      Duration: 6 months preferable (full-time / 8h per day x 5 per week)

•      Starting: preferably September 2024
